You're invited to a casual information session with networking drinks this Wednesday, July 6 at Koonara 5.30pm - 6.30pm.

The RBCA is partnering with Adelaide-based organisation, Youth Opportunities/Generation Thrive, to deliver a personal leadership program for our community aimed at 15 - 35 year-olds. If you have young people in your life, you are a young person, or you have young employees we urge you to attend. Non-members are also welcome.

Recent research has indicated that young people now take three and a half years more to settle and develop the emotional and social skills required for success in the workplace compared to 30 years ago. Additionally, they are motivated differently, seek more connection to purpose, and are at the highest risk of acquiring mental health issues.

The Riddoch Leaders program will develop and enhance participants' social and emotional capabilities while increasing personal accountability, self-leadership, resilience, and well-being, which will better prepare our young people and adults for success in their personal and professional lives.

Generation Thrive has had terrific results with their program in the Tatiara region. One of Bordertown’s largest employers, Tatiara Truck and Trailer has put 17 staff members through several Generation Thrive programs after witnessing the difference the program made to their team and, ultimately, their business through happier employees, better communication, and retained staff.

Our community must invest in the next generation of business and community leaders. We'd love your support to make this happen.

Come along and hear what the program is all about while getting an update on the RBCA budget response.
